After many months of planning, building, and designing, we are so excited to finally announce the Grand Opening of our fifth brick-and-mortar cafe – this one is on Stephen Ave right in the heart of downtown Calgary on Thursday, December 8, 2016!

It’s hard to believe that it was almost ten years ago that we started with a small kiosk at the Calgary Farmer’s Market. We have waited this long to find the right space downtown, and it’s finally here — at the historic Hudson’s Block.

We’re also sharing the building with ATB Financial, who have designed a forward-thinking public space filled with light, art, and space for conversation.

For this project, we worked with the talented team at Toker + Associates to design a space that really utilized the high ceilings and bright banks of windows that face Stephen Avenue. We think they did a fantastic job with bringing our vision to life, and for creating a space that we are proud to add to our lineup of cafes. Each cafe has its own personality and individual fingerprint, and Stephen Ave is no different. We also worked with Reclaimed Trading Co to find repurposed fixtures, taken from a Quaker Oats factory, to add both form and function.

Additionally, we have dedicated an entire wall to a plant installation by Plant Terrariums and display/retail space for our friends at Market Collective.
