We honestly used to think all instant coffee sucked. Well...because it did. But there has been a lot of innovation in the technology of freeze-dried coffee, and now we think it can be pretty awesome.

We've now had instant coffee produced by Sudden Coffee and Voila Coffee. Both companies produced excellent quality instant coffee, and both have sadly shut down. We thought we'd never find love again, but after a recovery period, we went in search of another partner.

As we're apt to do, we blind tasted samples from all instant coffee makers, and one came out head and shoulders above the rest. As it happens, they're right in our backyard!

Hasty Coffee is good. Not a “good for instant” kind of good, we’re talking really good coffee. Period. We wouldn’t offer if we didn’t love it ourselves. You can enjoy the same high standards for coffee you’ve come to expect from Phil & Sebastian wherever you find yourself - just add hot water. Think of it as a little barista in your back pocket who’s happy to tag along for your next hike or camping trip. Just don’t ask it to carry any of your gear.
