Caturra is becoming extinct in Colombia. Most producers are now planting Pink Bourbon, Geisha and Castillo and the long beloved Caturra is being forgotten. This breaks my heart a little as Caturra is the first variety that made me fall in love with Colombian coffee. Thankfully Jose Martinez is still producing some Caturra and it’s really good.
